Your Experience, Role & Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant

  • You have English as mother tongue or equivalent. Proficiency in French and/or Dutch is an asset,
  • You are based in Brussels,
  • You are holder of a degree in accounting with 2 to 3 year’s of relevant work experience in a finance team or accountancy office,
  • You understand and have experience with general Ledger entries (Debit/Credit accounts),
  • You demonstrate an adequate flair for and understanding of basic Accounting Processes: Debit/Credit, Balance Sheet Vs. Income Statement, Accruals & pre-payments, Fixed assets, Bank reconciliations & Intercompany invoicing, VAT return preparation and submission.
  • Understanding or experience of UK accountancy is an asset,
  • You have worked with either Exact or Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics) accounting software – one of the two at least is mandatory,
  • You have strong communication skills and a positive attitude,
  • You are Service-minded, proactive and flexible with the ability to work under pressure,
  •  In this role you will be
  • Processing Expenses from employees, consultants and clients,
  • Responsible – for posting purchase invoices and all bank transactions to the accounting system and processing payments,
  • Be part of a team of four people in charge of Finance and Accounting at Fipra.
