EU pandemic preparedness and the use of JPA

A special client call on Wednesday 10th June at 14hrs CET sees John F. Ryan, Director of the European Commission’s Directorate for Public Health, Country Knowledge and Crisis Management, share insights into the EU response to the Covid19 crisis and coordinated action to ensure supplies of personal protective equipment, vaccines, and medicines to treat people with the latest coronavirus. 

This webinar is devoted to the Commission toolbox to manage the crisis, with a particular focus on the Joint Procurement Agreement (JPA).

The call will consider:

• How successfully have EU mechanisms worked so far?
• How will JPA operate as treatments are developed to ensure that they reach patients across the EU?
• What lessons does past experience hold for ongoing efforts to address issues faced during the Covid19 crisis?
