Andrea joined FIPRA in December 2019 as a Special Advisor in the Digital and Innovation sector.
Before joining FIPRA, he was an Advisor on European policies, regulatory frameworks and decision-making to Embassies, Governments, Law offices, investment funds, asset managers, think tanks and NGOs. Andrea is a Visiting Professor/Researcher at the Institute of European Studies of the Saint Louis University (LLN), Brussels.
Andrea worked for 25 years at the European Commission (Development, ECFIN, RELEX and EEAS), on development issues, multilateral affairs, EU and global economic governance, EU external economic, business, trade investment and financial affairs; sustainable finance and some EU sectoral strategies and programmes (Digital, Energy, Environment, Research, Innovation etc).
Earlier in his career, Andrea served as an Economist in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an economist at IRI – a main Italian public industrial Holding.
Andrea holds two Masters’ Degrees, in Law and Economic Policy and a Post-Graduate specialization in International Trade. He also followed executive seminars in financial management and economic history in the UK and the US.
