Danut is head of FIPRA in Romania, having joined the FIPRA Network in 2009.

Previously, Danut acted as Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and was responsible for drafting the regulatory frameworks in the Energy and Capital Markets sectors. Danut has also worked on behalf of the Romanian state on various privatization projects (Petrom to OMV, Electrica to Enel, BCR to Erste Bank).

After leaving the state sector, Danut joined the Romanian-American Enterprise Fund (RAEF) and then the Romanian office of the international law firm Allen & Overy as Head of their Energy and Capital Markets practice areas.

Danut is a lawyer by training, and along with his native Romanian, Danut speaks English, German, French and Italian.
