David McDonald Joyce
David joined FIPRA in October 2012 as a Special Advisor for Defence and served as an officer in the British Army from 1972 until 1993. During his military career, David graduated from the UK Armour School and became a lecturer on military technology and the role and employment of armoured forces in war. This was followed by several tours of duty as a Military Advisor in North Africa and the Middle East. After this, David became a Middle East Advisor at the Ministry of Defence in London, identifying defence and national security requirements in the region and working with government agencies to address them. David is now a consultant for a number of defence companies and counter-terrorist agencies working with the Ministries of Defence, Ministries of Interior and law enforcement agencies in North Africa and the Middle East. David is also responsible for the promotion of emerging technologies, attracting investment and the formation of joint ventures with companies in the region. David is married with 3 daughters and along with his native English, David also speaks Arabic.
