Haluk gained an extensive public-sector experience and capital markets expertise at the İstanbul Stock Exchange where he worked as a trading floor supervisor and a chief inspector. He switched from public to private sector in 2006, and set up the investor relations, compliance, and corporate governance functions of Selcuk Ecza, the leading pharmaceutical distributor of Turkey. Thereafter he had executive roles at Cargill Foods Turkey as corporate affairs director, and at Anadolu Efes (Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine) as public affairs and corporate communications director. Subsequently he worked for the global PR and public affairs network agency Grayling as senior advisor for its public affairs service line in Turkey, and for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association of Turkey (İEİS) as general coordinator.  He was the country director of Kesarev, the leading public affairs advisory firm operating across Russia, CIS, Central Asia, CEE, and Turkey until 2022.

Public policy and affairs, government relations, financial and corporate communications, investor relations, corporate governance, reputation management, sustainability/ESG reporting.  He is also actively engaged with healthcare and medtech start-ups as an angel investor and VC fund investment committee member as well as a mentor.

He holds an MA in Economics from Marmara University and completed his MBA in Finance at City University Business School in London as a Chevening Scholar. He also carried out research at Boston University, U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, and the World Bank as a Humphrey (Fulbright) Fellow.
