Lion

John Lion is Chief Financial Officer at FIPRA. Since 2000, he has worked in various multinationals in the Business Consulting, Telecoms, and Energy sectors prior to joining FIPRA initially in 2016 in charge of operations and process efficiency.

John started his career at Accenture as a consultant in telecommunications. From there he moved to the telecom sector AT&T as a helpdesk Manager and Change Manager where he gained experience in managing and developing teams. In 2005, John made a move to the Energy sector at Shell. He took the challenge of being the Director of a Shell group subsidiary in charge of intra-group Lubricants sales. Over 11 years John worked in several roles for the Shell group mainly in the areas of Project Management and Sales & Operations. In his last position there, in 2011, he took the Director of Retail role for Belgium and Luxembourg.
In 2016, John co-founded Paul&Lion. The company provides advice in various areas of business: HR, Operations, IT, and Finance.

In that remit, John joined FIPRA from 2016 to 2019. He then did a three-year assignment in a Business Association focusing on social and environmental Supply Chains. He set up KPIs, coached Managers, and led the deployment of a CRM. In 2023, John returned to FIPRA and took the CFO role helping the company manage and track its financial performance.

John holds a Master’s in applied economics from UCL Louvain-la-Neuve.
