Lorenzo joined FIPRA as a Special Advisor on the EU risk management process in 2007. Lorenzo is a Director at a leading Swiss consultancy, advising on regulatory reform, the organisation of public administration, public policy evaluations as well as private sector development. Lorenzo has worked as an Administrator in the Regulatory Policy Division of the OECD in Paris for almost two years, after coordinating the Better Regulation Programme of the European Policy Centre in Brussels from 2002 to 2007. Lorenzo is a member of the Founding Team and a Senior Policy Analyst at the European Risk Forum, a think tank with a cross-sectoral approach to high quality risk assessment and management decisions at EU level. Since 2010, Lorenzo has been an Honorary Associate Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, and a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Risk Regulation. Lorenzo holds an MA diploma from the College of Europe and a PhD from Kings College London. A Swiss national, Lorenzo speaks fluently English, French, German and Italian, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
