Morten is Director of International Affairs at FIPRA Norway and manages Norwegian and international projects in the fields of energy, transportation, resource management, investment and public procurement. Prior to joining FIPRA, Morten was Norway’s Ambassador to the United Nations in New York. Morten spent 12 years working at the Norwegian Prime Minister’s office and has an extensive worldwide network of contacts. Morten has led important negotiations for Norway in its relations with the EU, and has headed several internationally contested campaigns for Norway with successful results. His experience includes Deputy Head of Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Vice-President at the power generation company Statkraft, State Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy and Ambassador in Berlin. Along with his native Norwegian, Morten speaks English, German and some French. Morten is married and has two children.
