Thomas is a Senior Manager at FIPRA International, based in London.
Thomas provides political insight and strategic advice to clients on complex regulatory, political, and policy issues across a host of industries with a clear focus on international trade, trade defence, investment, and Brexit-related issues. Thomas also manages the FIPRA Network, a global collective of market-leading, independent government relations firms, across more than fifty countries.
Prior to joining FIPRA, Thomas worked as a policy advisor in a Chinese trade policy institute based in Shanghai. On his return to Brussels, Thomas joined the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the European Union, where he advised diplomats on international trade and economic policy.
He then completed a traineeship at the European Commission within the department responsible for international development and cooperation, looking at a host of cross-cutting policy themes including Aid for Trade, innovative financial instruments, trade facilitation measures, and foreign market entry assistance.
Thomas has a double degree M.A. in Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Tongji University and an advanced M.A. in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe. He is currently studying towards an MSc in Economics whilst working full-time.
