Christian is a business leader and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience turning industrial biotechnology and chemistry into commercial success on both sides of the Atlantic. His work spans specialty chemicals, polymers, advanced materials and active ingredients for both consumer and industrial markets. 

As a Special Adviser, Christian brings hands-on venture-building experience to clients navigating complex public affairs and innovation challenges. He is particularly valued for his ability to connect innovation strategy, manufacturing pathways and sustainability goals with real-world commercial outcomes. 

Christian has extensive experience engaging policymakers to bridge the gap between regulatory ambition and industrial reality. He provides strategic guidance on bioeconomy development and offers practical insight into how artificial intelligence can accelerate scientific discovery and product development, while remaining aligned with evolving policy frameworks. 

He has held senior growth and venture creation roles at DuPont and IFF, leading technology platforms from early-stage R&D through scale-up and market entry. His sector experience spans personal and home care, packaging and circular materials, specialty chemicals and ingredients, and advanced performance materials. 

Christian serves on several industry and joint-venture boards shaping the next generation of biotechnology innovation. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Drexel University’s LeBow School of Business along with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry from University of Düsseldorf.
