She is known for her practical insights on how impending regulatory decisions translate into product, supply chain and reputational risk and her ability to align industry stakeholders to effectively respond. Her counsel is especially sought after on sustainability and circular economy policy, impact assessments, REACH and CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) revisions.
Martina draws on leadership experience at both Dow Chemical and Monsanto, where she was recognised for building effective partnerships with downstream sectors using chemicals, especially cosmetics and personal care.
She offers deep expertise leading one of the most impactful industry associations in the chemical value chain. As President of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) for nearly a decade, she helped shape global industry standards for the safe and sustainable use of fragrances from responsible sourcing to collaborations across the consumer goods ecosystems.
Having been a FIPRA client in these roles for over 15 years, she is now an adviser who has sat on almost all sides of the policy-making table. This includes, among others, as a board member of ERIF (European Risk and Innovation Forum), a thinktank to develop better regulation, science-based policy making and sustainable innovation.
Martina has a Master of Science in Environmental Toxicology from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor in Geo-Sciences from Universität Trier in Germany.
