Pieter joined FIPRA in The Netherlands as a Senior Advisor in 2011 and advises clients on their representation strategy in the transportation, media, postal and maritime sectors.

Pieter began his career at the Dutch national industry association VNO-NCW and worked for 10 years as a lobbyist, association manager and spokesperson for the Dutch Retail Association where he represented the interests of Dutch and international retail companies. Pieter also worked as director for the DIY-sector and was founder of a recycling organization for lighting products dealing with the circular economy.

Pieter founded an independent organization for the prevention of fraud. Pieter lectures on public affairs and is a trainer on media relations. Pieter qualified with a bachelor in Public Management from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Along with his native Dutch, Pieter speaks fluent English.
