Peter Tulkens joins the partnership at FIPRA
FIPRA Public Affairs is delighted to welcome Peter Tulkens as partner as of January 2022.
In parallel, Peter’s niche public affairs consultancy firm Politics Matters, which has represented Belgium in the global FIPRA Network since 2007, will be incorporated into FIPRA International.
I am thrilled to join the partnership. My aim along with the diverse team of experts at FIPRA, is to identify and leverage areas of common ground where private and public interests meet.

“I am thrilled to join the partnership. My aim along, with the diverse team of experts at FIPRA, is to identify and leverage areas of common ground where private and public interests meet,” said Peter, who brings to the table decades of experience to support business development and client acquisition, notably in health and pharma, health security, energy and environment, and digital mobility.
Peter also specializes in offering strategic and public affairs advice to clients active in the sectors of defence, security and health threats. He holds excellent relations with NATO and is a specialist in the field of medical counter-measure policies that contribute to the EU policy agendas on procurement and strategic stockpiles.
“I look forward to working with our trusted partners in the FIPRA Network, which is a crucial part of the value we deliver to our clients. Thanks to our Network, we have our clients covered all over the world,” he said.
Peter’s public affairs career began at Agoria, the largest industry association in Belgium, after which in early 2000 he joined the public affairs team at Ernst & Young.
Politics Matters was founded over 15 years ago to advise on political and regulatory affairs in EU and Belgian markets.
In conjunction with Peter joining the partnership, FIPRA International will also welcome into its fold Politics Matters’ Indré Karciauskaité and Francisco Ferrera. Indré will join as a senior account executive with expertise in health and health security; and Francisco as an account executive in digital and transport.
Given today’s fractured political landscape, I am confident that with the expertise that Peter and his team bring, we will be able to continue aligning the needs of business and policymakers.
